Red Rock Canyon, Nevada's first National Conservation Area, is 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip on State Route 159. Unlike the entertainment-focused town, it features a 13-mile scenic drive, hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnic areas, nature observation, and a visitor center with exhibits.
